FRS Network now introduces the new Solway Bin & Liner System to Ireland to collect four different streams of waste farm plastic. The collected plastic is sent for recycling to recover the polymer which in turn is used to manufacture a wide range of recycled plastic products ranging from domestic bin liners to the plastic bin used in the Solway Bin & Liner system.

FRS Network has collected over 50,000 tonnes of waste farm plastic from Irish Farms over the last 10 years. We are now proud to be appointed operators of the Solway Bin & Liner System in Ireland by Irish Farmers Recycling Services Ltd

Six simple steps to a tidy farm and fulfilment of farm waste regulations

Step 1

Assemble the patented Solway Recycling bin by locking the bin edges together, fit the plastic liner and pull halfway down the outside of the bin as shown. FInally fit the lid.

Step 2

Keep the bin next to the source of the waste, and transfer materials straight away. This reduces contamination and keeps your farm tidy.

Step 3

Once the bin is filled, remove the lid and tie liner securely with plastic twine or cable tie.

Step 4

Store filled liners in a secure site with suitable access for the collection lorry.

Step 5

Liners will be uplifted by our collection lorry on a pre-arranged day. All liners will be visually inspected to ensure they contain the correct material. The driver will tag each liner for traceability purposes.

Step 6

Caution:
Do not mix the 4 streams of plastic in any one liner.

See Waste Streams on right of page for more information.

Scheme Non-Compliance

All liners will be inspected prior to collection. They will not be uplifted if they are found to contain excluded material, or if they are incorrectly tied. If foreign materials are found during processing the liner and contents will be rejected, quarantined and disposed of correctly. Additional charges will be passed on to the farm or holding that supplied the waste
